Tamil Nadu BJP president K. Annamalai will be travelling to South Africa to participate in the ‘BRICS political parties plus dialogue’ meeting, taking place in Johannesburg from July 18 to 20, as part of the four-member delegation of the BJP.
Ahead of the 15th BRICS summit scheduled in South Africa in August, representatives from approximately 50 political parties, including those affiliated with BRICS countries, have convened for this meeting. In preparation for the summit, Mr. Annamalai and the other three members of the delegation—Vinusha Reddy, Pushkar Misra, and Satyen Kulabkar—met with BJP's national president, J.P. Nadda, in New Delhi on Thursday, July 13, 2023.
Following his return from South Africa, Mr. Annamalai will embark on a yatra across Tamil Nadu, commencing on July 28.
